JOAN NABATANZI

Joan has over ten years of experience in the areas of girls’ education and social empowerment. She is skilled in fundraising, leading and organizing training and educational campaigns, community mobilization, human relations, and facilitation. Joan is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture at Makerere University Kampala-Uganda. She is also a Women in Science (WISCI) Girls Science Technology Engineering Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) Camper with World Learning by the United States Department of State, Google, UN Foundation, Girl Up campaign, Malawi University of Science and Technology, Intel, NASA and the American Society for Microbiology. She is also a celebrated girl mentor with a number of directly and indirectly impacted mentees. Joan has a philosophy that when you see a girl, she sees the future.

KLOEY BATTISTA

Kloey is passionate about connecting people, ideas, culture, art, design, public space, strategy and experience and generally challenging the status quo. Kloey holds a bachelor’s degree in Media studies and Human-Centered Design with an emphasis on Technology and Entrepreneurship from the University of California, Berkeley. Kloey has worked with a number of companies including Doctor Evidence, Undergraduate Marketing Association, Jacobs Institute for Design Innovation, and Gensler Architecture and Design Firm. Kloey has a philosophy that education, empowerment, and food security can enable girls to prosper.

Nagujja Anet

is a passionate community worker who has devoted her life to inspiring disadvantaged youth towards positive change. She worked with 100 youth it towards economic improvement. Anet holds a Diploma in Leadership and Management from the Management Training and Advisory Centre, Nakawa in Uganda and a Certificate in Mentorship and Coaching from Mukono District Farm Institute Uganda.

Sentamu Timothy

is the finance and administration manager of GirlNow Foundation. Timothy has a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) majoring in Marketing and Finance, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (BBA). He has worked with Kasenge Riverford Organic Agricultural LTD as the marketing and sales Manager, International Students’ coordinator at Desh Bhagat Foundation Group of Institutions, India and also a licensed sales agent at Prudential Assurance Uganda.

Ruby Malamed

is a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder, with a degree in Strategic Communication. She is passionate about topics such as education, feminism, and community growth in underdeveloped countries. After graduating from college, she spent six months teaching English as a second language to first graders in Thailand. She has also volunteered as a mentor at the Amy Biehl Foundation in Cape Town, South Africa.

Josefina Ruggeiro is currently a student at University of California Berkeley majoring in Gender and Women’s Studies and minoring in Global Poverty and Practice. Josefina is specifically passionate about applying intersectional feminist theories and approaches to poverty alleviation efforts, centralizing Ugandan girls’ needs and experiences!

Nsubuga Claire Namutebi is a very knowledgeable and hardworking woman with over 20 years of experience in transforming rural communities by engaging community members in an array of developmental projects that she has worked with. Claire retired from active service and is currently an organic farming expert and consultant. Claire worked with Send a Cow Uganda for 12 years with the Agriculture for Women and Girls with disabilities project funded by USAID, Department for International Development (DFID-UKAID Match) project, and a livelihood project for children at Kampiringisa National Rehabilitation Centre.

Dr. Kyeswa

Dr. Kyeswa is a strategic and visionary leader with exceptional experience in conceptualizing and analyzing development issues in order to design, implement and monitor successful development programs. Christopher is a humanitarian driven with the desire to meaningfully impact lives of vulnerable people by combining a strong scientific background with outstanding business and management skills. For over 15 years.

Mr. Kitaka Henry ensures that the organizations maintain the highest administrative, financial and operational standards for compliance, timely reporting, monitoring and reporting on budgets, projection of funding needs, and procurement. Henry is currently working with Send a Cow Uganda as Finance and Administration Manager and worked before with AMREF Health Africa, World Vision Uganda and African Development Crops where he provided leadership and management of their finance departments. Henry holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration majoring in Finance Management from Sikkim Manipal University in India and has ACCA 1 and CPA licenses.

Njakasi Timothy has over 25 years of experience in the education, social and private sector field. He is the founder and managing director of Kasenge Riverford Organic Agricultural Centre LTD which is a center of production and training on climate-smart sustainable integrated organic agricultural practices to groups and individuals. He is the deputy chairperson of National Organic Agriculture Movement of Uganda (NOGAMU) which works in collaboration with international organic movements in accreditation of organic certification. Timothy has a vast experience of working with government and development agencies.
